Earthquake

Last night when I returned from Mt. Fuji, we heard that a large earthquake hit the northern part of Japan on Saturday morning.  Being in Tokyo and the Mt. Fuji and Hakone area, we were unaffected.  Fortunately, I will be traveling south today to Yokkaichi.  Other groups, however, will be traveling north for their host city visits and will be in areas that have been affected by the earthquake.  JFMF staff assures all participants that the areas where they will be are safe, but it is still somewhat scary as experts are calling for aftershocks that may happen in the next few days.  Please pray for our safety, especially those traveling north, while here.

I'll post stories and pictures of my journey to Mt. Fuji when I get to Yokkaichi.  For now though, enjoy the (somewhat cloudy) view...
